B&M® 24-well centrifugal filter plates are assembled from 24-well filter plates + PTFE membrane + UHMWPE 20um sieve plate + compression ring. PTFE (fine powder resin) swells into a three-dimensional mesh structure known as PTFE, which creates billions of microscopic pores. This structure takes advantage of PTFE's inherent hydrophobicity (waterproofing) and non-stick properties, which allows the removal of particles that have fallen on the surface of the membrane. PTFE membranes and laminates provide equipment manufacturers with permanent, temperature- and chemical-compatible protection against microorganisms and particulates. The optimal combination of airflow and inlet pressure can improve the efficiency of most equipment designs.

Hydrophilic frit: generally refers to the reaction between reactive functional groups attached to a solid-phase carrier (e.g., resin, etc.) and a reagent dissolved in an organic solvent. It is a hydrophobic material made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) sintered by modifying the surface with a hydrophilic agent.
B&M® Hydrophilic Frits Hydrophilic UHWMPE production technology is applied; the hydrophilicity of the frits for affine chromatography columns has been specially treated for wetting with aqueous solutions; This is very advantageous when filtering aqueous solutions.
In solid-phase peptide synthesis, the peptide chain is elongated on an insoluble polystyrene resin carrier. The C-terminal portion of the synthetic peptide is first reacted with chloromethylpolystyrene resin (ester resin) to form a benzyl ester, and then the amino acids protected at the amino terminal are added one by one in the order of the primary structure of the peptide chain to elongate the peptide chain. The solid-phase method is simpler and shorter than the liquid-phase method and can be automated. It is used in our pharmaceutical industry.
