WAX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® WAX is a reversed-phase and anion exchange composite "water-wet" polymer adsorbent with anion exchange and reverse-phase adsorption modes and good water wettability. The matrix is pure, stable in the pH range 0-14, stable in organic solvents, with a high specific surface area, high exchange capacity and adsorption of all types of polar and non-polar compounds.
It is the equivalent of Waters Oasis WAX.
MCX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® MCX is a reversed-phase and cation-exchange composite "water-wet" polymer adsorbent with cation exchange and reversed-phase adsorption modes and good water wettability. The matrix is pure, stable in the pH range of 0-14, stable in organic solvents, has a high specific surface area, high exchange capacity, high selectivity and sensitivity to basic compounds, and is especially suitable for the detection of melamine in milk, food and feed.
It is equivalent to Waters' Oasis MCX and Varian's Plexa PCX.
MAX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® MAX is a reversed-phase and strong anion exchange complex "water-wet" polymer adsorbent. Its matrix consists of N-vinylpyrrolidone and divinylbenzene polymerized in a certain ratio (HLB), and then the quaternary ammonium group (CH2N(CH3)2C4H9+) is attached to the HLB, which provides two adsorption modes: anion exchange and reversed-phase adsorption, stable in the pH range of 0-14 and has good water wettability. It has high selectivity and sensitivity to acid compounds and can overcome the limitations of traditional hybrid adsorbents for silica gel matrix-based solid-phase extraction.

C8/SCX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
The B&M® C8/SCX is a silica gel-based packing column with C8 and strong cation exchange SCX (C8/SCX) mixed in an optimal ratio to provide a dual containment mechanism in which the C8 functional group interacts with the hydrophobic analyte groups and the SCX functional group interacts with the protonated amino group. Due to such strong interactions, stronger wash conditions can be used to remove co-extracts that may interfere with UV detection or cause ion suppression in LC-MS. The steady-state phase is not capped, allowing for additional interactions between the residual silanol groups and the polar analytes, thereby contributing to improved retention.
Most suitable for purification of basic (cationic) or neutral compounds such as drugs and metabolites from aqueous solutions, urine and blood.

NH2 Tip SPE Pipette TipsExtraction Tips
B&M® NH2 (amino) is a silica gel-based aminopropyl SPE. It has a polar stationary phase and a weak anion exchanger, which can achieve retention by weak anion exchange (aqueous solutions) or polar adsorption (non-polar organic solutions), and thus has a dual role. When used in non-polar solutions (e.g., hexane) for pretreatment, it can form hydrogen bonds with molecules with functional groups -OH, -NH, or -SH, aminopropyl PKa=9.8; it is weaker than SAX with anions, and it can be used as a weak anion exchanger to remove strong anions such as sulfonate from samples in aqueous solutions with pH<7.8.
The aminopropyl bound phase has strong polar adsorption in nonpolar organic solutions and weak anion exchange retention in aqueous solutions. NH2 works well in a wide range of sample matrices and can be used in the food, environmental, pharmaceutical, and medical industries.

B&M® Diol is a silica gel based tip SPE with silica gel-like release properties. It extracts polar samples from non-polar solutions through polar interaction, is similar to unbound silica gel in the nature of hydrogen bond interaction with the sample, and can differentiate structurally similar compounds such as structural isomers, as well as silica gel minicolumns. It can also be used to isolate nonpolar compounds because the carbon chains in the bound phase provide sufficient nonpolar force to hold hydrophobic samples, with solvent ratio selectivity different from silica gel. Diol is commonly used to isolate drugs or metabolites, such as THC, from biological solutions, such as urine samples. It is equivalent to Agilent Bond Elut 2OH and Waters Sep-Pak Diol.

B&M® CN is a silica gel-based cyanopropyl filler that can be used as a non-polar adsorbent to extract polar and non-polar molecules from aqueous solutions, as well as polar molecules from relatively non-polar solvents. In addition, cyanopropyl acts as a complex ligand to enrich some metal ions in aqueous solution.
Cyanopropyl is a weakly hydrophobic filler of the silica matrix and can be used as a direct or reverse phase adsorbent. Under the conditions of the reversed phase, nonpolar or slightly polar acidic, neutral and basic compounds are extracted from aqueous solutions. Under direct phase conditions, polar compounds are extracted from nonpolar organic solutions. In addition, cyanopropyl acts as a complex ligand to enrich some metal ions in aqueous solution. For strong hydrophobic substances that bind irreversibly at the stationary C18 phases, the stationary CN phases are a more suitable choice. Equivalent to Waters Sep-Pak CN.
C8 Tip SPE Pipette TipsExtraction Tips
B&M® C8 is a moderately hydrophobic reversed-phase silica matrix filler that is similar in adsorption to the C18 bond and holds nonpolar compounds together mainly due to the hydrophobic interactions of nonpolar carbon bonds.
Because the carbon bond of C8 is shorter than that of C18, the retention of nonpolar compounds is weaker than that of C18, which helps to elut samples with excess adsorption of nonpolar compounds.
If the use of C18 makes it difficult to eludate nonpolar objects, C8 can be used instead.
Silica Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
